Re: QC Campus

UIC-QC is for graduate level nursing only. It’s not viewed as a competitor at all. It’s been in the QC for decades and is very small. The quote from U of I said it all. They want to partner with other institutions, not compete. I can see WIU and UIUC and UIC joining forces for cooperative engineerin...

Re: New Head Coach

There’s no way the Interim President stays out of this. He micromanages hires at the lowest levels of the University. No way he lets this hire happen without imparting his infinite wisdom. "She's going to do this all on her own" No AD would do it all own their own. That statement is just t...

Re: Beneath the "Purple and Gold!"

It is wholly inappropriate for the student trustee to vote on personnel matters. It creates numerous conflict of interest opportunities. Those go both ways, with the student able to exert undue influence over employees and the university able to do the same to the trustee in his role as a student. U...

Re: Enrollment Updates

Anybody remember who was in the running back when Thomas was hired. I seem to recall someone mentioning the current President at UIS was in the mix. Susan Koch was very impressive. She is now Chancellor at UIS. She's had a few challenges at UIS, especially with the faculty union, but certainly woul...
