Re: @ NDSU

That reminds me. Last year, since only one team made the tournament, they didn't feel it was financially a good idea to pay to send the pep band for possibly only one game. This year though, with both teams making the tournament (barring some crazy-weird scenario to finish out the season), the pep b...

Re: Football Recruits - 2017

Can't remember if he's been mentioned before, but just noticed that we made an offer to:
Austin Glazier, 6'6", 285lb O-lineman from Fenwick HS in Oak Park, IL
Also has an offer from Southern Illinois.

Re: vs South Dakota State

Whoa....what a game. I am absolutely beat. Big, energetic crowd...groups of students leading cheers rather than just the pep band being the only loud ones in the place...had a great run to start the game, but SDSU clawed back in it. From there on out it was close pretty much the whole game until a s...

The boat is rowing to Minnesota

Apparently PJ Fleck and Western Michigan came to an agreement whereby the very popular "Row the Boat" slogan is being transferred to Fleck's ownership (Fleck actually came up with it) for $50k. Fleck was the HC at Western Michigan over the last four years, with winning seasons in the last ...

NDSU Player makes 3-pointer...for Denver

Whoops (although you can't really fault him for it)...

Re: @ Mile High City U

I would go with a "Crack the Jacks" theme for Wednesday. Free boxes of crackerjacks for one and all but it might take a rush order from the manufacturer to get enough to Macomb. Unfortunately I will not be making the trip. Had a New Year's Resolution this year to cut back on my spur of th...

Opposition?....not from me.

Re: @ Mile High City U

If you're in good shape, it's not really that bad, and if they're able to get out there a day early to adjust to it a bit and get in a workout at altitude, they should be ready. This isn't the first trip out there for most of the women, either. I ran an 8+ mile road race at ~9k feet above sea level ...

NFS71, back in my day, if we lost, the rule was no talking on the ride home, we had to contemplate our failure. That punishment would not work today because everyone is so plugged in to their headphones they have no desire to talk anyway. What do you think, would any coach have the balls to deny pl...

Re: Future Football Schedules

Just for my own edification, was our game with SXU a guarantee payoff game for them? If so, any idea how much and what it cost us to get out of the contract? I would guess that it was, but likely not a huge amount. I think that when an FCS plays a non-DI school, they usually pay something in the ra...
