Re: WIU at Illinois (9/8/2018)

I see no reason why WIU should not believe they are going to get this Win. This is mediocre Illinois team at best. After the first week there were things to work on especially special teams play, WIU needs to keep the punt receiving and KO receiving yards to minimum. The O-Line now has a game to und...

Re: 2018 Preview - OL

I think despite all the hand wringing the O-Line is going to be alright. The key will be staying healthy. I heard an interview from Coach Elliot after the first day and he recognized three of them who he thought have looked good this summer and camp. Austin Hopp, Kyle Sanft, and Jared Ross. With an ...

Here is a picture of him from last weekend. His brother on the left is 6’2”. He is still growing in height. If family history is anything his Grandpa, Dad, which is me, and his brother grew 2” after HS graduation. I didn’t realize how many OL we had on the roster. So that in itself for me is promisi...

Re: Current Coaching Staff

I believe with a very good experienced quarterback and quality skilled players the O-line can have some leeway to get better quick and allow this team to score some points. I am optimistic the early mistakes can be overcome by the experience of the quarterback to make quick reads. I know this is the...

Re: Current Coaching Staff

I have nothing but praise for the Coaching Staff. Their support of our son has been phenomenal. He discussed with them at the Spring Game he wanted to get to Macomb and get started as early as June. They worked with him and figured it out. My son gave up walking at his HS graduation to be on campus ...

NCAA Redshirt Rule Change for this year

It appears the NCAA has changed the redshirt rule for football this year, which allows a freshman to play in 4 games and still be considered a redshirt.

Re: Spring Game Roll Call Fri April 20

Hearing of some strong storms there also. We are used to these types of storms, it is just not something which happens in April. The outlook says more snow on Wednesday for us the day we plan on leaving but 60 degrees by Friday so expecting short weather there.
