How long does it take to earn accreditation in these new programs?

Are these already available at the main campus? If not, that is disappointing.

Macomb does not - and has never- had Engineering.

There’s no such thing as a ‘main’ campus. The two campuses are co-equal.

When the QC campus offers some sort of residence hall facility, it will become a little more co-equal than it is now. Same goes for that train track to Chicago if it ever gets built.

Macomb "in the past and as I type this" is the Main Campus. Moline is a Satellite campus.

Maybe we could clarify. WIUm and WIUm. Oh....... yeah...that might not...

How 'bout WIUMA and WIUMO

Guess that might could be Western Illinois University Massachusetts and Western Illinois University Missouri.

(Maybe that might help enrollment if prospective students get the impression that the University has moved their campuses (campi?) out of Illinois.)

How about WIU-MIT. (Macomb-in-town)

Couldn’t hurt.

Changing it to LSU (LaMoine South University) has some nice vibes to it.

Then I could I say I went to two different LSUs, the other one being Lake Storey University.

I have mixed feelings about this. To become a true engineering school, WIU needs to start developing these type of disciplines. At the same time, WIU shouldn't be competing in this space. Engineering technology - yes; Engineering - no.

I know the horse has already left the barn on this one, but I just think it's misguided to continue to invest in WIU engineering. I wish the Grainger College of Engineering would make its first big splash since the name change and take the QC campus from WIU. University of Illinois does engineering higher education well, WIU does not.
