Summit League Championship Game - #1 WIU vs #2 IUPUI
President Thomas was there for Monday's game. I would bet that he was in Springfield today as the Senate was having a Hearing on higher education funding in Illinois. All of the state universities had people in Springfield.
Replay of today's game is now available for the next 7 days:

The Western Illinois women's basketball team celebrates their championship win from the Summit League Tournament with an escort back to Western Hall.
The Western Courier has a video of the Police & Fire escort on their Facebook page:

Haven't heard if there will be a public reception. That would be nice for the team and the community. But with spring break starting on Friday, timing could be a problem.

I've been playing around with a new plugin that allows embedding a bunch of different things...video from a ton of sites, audio, stuff like maps, google docs, etc. So here's the video that was reference, from the Western Courier facebook page.
I'm hoping there will be some kind of rally, celebration, or something, either later this week or maybe after the season is over...whenever that ends up being. Next week is spring break, so there won't be students around to do anything next week.

Eyes a little watery right now after watching that video. Not as bad as yesterday after the win but if we did this a little more often, maybe I would know how to handle it better.
Embrace the pace of the race.
That is an excellent, well-made highlight video. It contains the actual broadcast from radio announcers Danny Frey and Tori Niemann instead of just having background music.
Emily Clemens broke the Summit League record for assists in one season. She has 234 heading into the NCAA Tournament.
