Ouch. Holiday hangover in Whiskey Town tonight. Had a great 1st qtr. It was all Bradley from that point forward.
My two cents is we were doing too much dribbling into the paint. Made a few but forced quite a few which did not fall.
We are a .500 team in the Summit playing like we did tonight. On to Fort Wayne where it counts.

There was a 30-point swing in this game. Western went from 18 points up to 12 points down.
I noticed that Bradley had a Pep Band at the game. Wonder how they are able to have a Pep Band for these semester-break games while Western does not ??????

Yes, we felt the pain up here in the suburbs too. My wife is a Peoria girl who dated a Bradley basketball player for a while and she was anxious to see the Leathernecks beat up on the Braves. But the Braves really took it to the Necks in the 4th quarter. I have always said that the way to win a ball game is to keep scoring to the end. If you do, the opposition is forced to take chances defensively which did them in instead of giving them the win! jc
Western beat Fort Wayne 100-64.
Emily Clemens led the Western scoring with 28 points. Taylor Higginbotham had 20. Morgan Blumer had 19. Michelle Farrow had 12.

Western will open the home Summit League season with 2 games next week: Jan 4 vs South Dakota and Jan 6 vs Oral Roberts. Both of those home games come during semester break. The promotional calendar is showing no promotion for either game.
