This has been a big turnover game. ND State is making a lot of errors but WIU can't capitalize on them.
On a side note, when did WIU switch sidelines?

I think the Leathernecks have been on the West sideline now for 3 years.

That looked about right to me at kickoff time. But stragglers were still filling seats into 2nd quarter. I don't care whether it is football or basketball, Leatherneck fans are a late arriving crowd for some reason. It is not like they have a mile to walk from QLot.wiu712 wrote:Too many three-and-outs after we had jumped to that 10-3 lead.
Attendance was posted as 5,111. I thought that the crowd was bigger than that.

There were 6 "W" pennants flying on the top of the west grandstand. They looked nice! The idea for them started here at Leatherneck Nation.
In addition, there were four new "W" banners hanging from the pole lights in the parking lot south of Hanson Field (the "Pit").

The Leathernecks played the #1 ranked team tough with a spirited fight. Watched the game on ESPN3. They had opportunities to win this game. The attendance was an embarrassment...

Wont be see any more big crowds this year since it is getting cold and after 2 conference losses it is hard for a lot of people to get excited. Its is sad to day but looks like our season is gonna be defined by great first half play every game and poor second quarter execution

These young men gave their all yesterday. Can't ask for anything more from them. Those who watched were rewarded with a great game. There will be more for those who appreciate such things.
Embrace the pace of the race.
