My thought as well. Excellent job by defense to hold to a fg.

Just picked put 9 and instead of continuing to pound the ball you run play action for a sack. Come on coach!!!!!

No need for Brunner to push on that ball. Perfect throw. These guys are making some poor decisions.
Lesure almost makes a big play, but drops it on the hit......soft.

Frustrating 1st half. Killed the drive with the play action play call. Not getting points at the end is equally painful.

On the Brunner play, it didn't even look like he made contact with the DB. So I know rules are different in college than High School, but as someone who is an IHSA official, that's not a flag. He didn't slow the momentum of the DB, and he didn't make any move that other receivers don't utilize every deep ball.letsgonecks wrote: Sat Nov 17, 2018 2:35 pm No need for Brunner to push on that ball. He did extend his arm and make contact, so I get the call. The reason it didn't make much of a difference is beacause his guy was beat and not even aware of where the ball was.dustinthorn93 wrote: Sat Nov 17, 2018 2:48 pmOn the Brunner play, it didn't even look like he made contact with the DB. Would of been acceptable to no call, but again should have just recognized the defender couldn't get to the ball and focus on that.

If you cant run the ball for diddly-squat, then just go hurry up to get as many passes thrown as you can. Mostly short and medium to set up the occasional long one.
