All winter championships (including the NCAA Basketball Tournament/March Madness) are cancelled.

I wonder if the NCAA will grant the student athletes an extra year of eligibility.

Maybe it they cancel the season, but not likely if they just cancel the championships. Some schools have already announced canceling all Spring sports.

I've also seen schools even cancelling spring football practices and/or spring games. The entire Ivy League has said no spring football practice.
