2020 Fall Athletics Around the Country
Fall football will not happen in Fargo. North Dakota State has decided against playing three non-conference games.
NDSU's decision leaves Missouri State as the only Valley team with scheduled games.
Missouri State has games scheduled at Oklahoma on Sept 12, at Central Arkansas on Sept 26, and their Homecoming game vs Central Arkansas on Oct 17. They will be playing Central Arkansas twice.

As far as I'm aware, we still technically have the North Alabama game on our schedule. I'm not sure what the point of playing only one game would be though since it would be months until they'd get a chance to play again. I guess we must be contacting teams attempting to get a few more games or something, otherwise why wouldn't they have just announced it for sure that we'd skip fall football?

The entirety of NCAA FCS will not compete in conference sports this fall, as the Ohio Valley Conference board of presidents made its decision official via a Friday vote, sources told ESPN. However, the OVC did leave the door open for its teams to play as many as four non-conference football games this fall, with an eye on playing a seven-game conference football schedule in spring 2021.
The OVC was the last of the 13 FCS conferences to postpone fall athletics to spring and, like those other conferences, left the door open to play non-conference games this fall. But the league is the first to reveal a specific number of fall and spring games.

College football actually kicks off this weekend with the FCS Kickoff Game on ESPN tonight.
We may not get a lot of college football this year, so enjoy it while we get it.

The NCAA to Furlough Entire Staff for 3-8 Weeks Amid COVID-19 Pandemic.
The NCAA is furloughing nearly 600 employees at its Indianapolis headquarters for three-to-eight weeks beginning in late September due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to Ralph D. Russo of the Associated Press.
All staffers excluding senior executives will be subject to the furloughs. Senior management previously took pay reductions in March following the cancellation of March Madness.
