Final Denver 68 Western 54. Gave up way too many points in the paint in this one. They turned on the press fairly early in 2nd half and that seemed to sway the momentum in their favor.

Team looked tired in the second half I am guessing due to the mile high air. Gave up way too many easy layups. I was surprised we didn't switch up the defense to keep more big bodies down low. It was their guards that got the majority of the layups coming through the lane.

Denver is a tough place to play with the altitude for players not experienced to the change. Most professional teams arrive 2 days early and run through a couple workouts to get their lungs acclimated when possible. At least we were in the majority of the game for once on the road. Still room for lot of improvement though. Remy was nice to see on the court again.

Both Joe Scott and his wife played at Princeton. Talk around their dinner table probably boils down to new and clever ways to do a backdoor cut. Billy needs to mix up his defenses. We are too easy to "pick apart" playing nothing but the Pack Line. The altitude is even more reason to throw in some conventional zone defense now and then as it gives the bodies on the court a bit of a rest break.
