Wow, yeah. Looking at his resume, I think he’d be solid. Coached under Patterson for 2 years, from the area, was a successful HC at a lower level, and has experience at the FBS level (although Army is a bit of a different situation than your typical FBS school)

Not sure how highly he thinks of WIU with the way he went out remember Tanney was out of town when Bon left and our amazing provost at that time decided he was going to give him the job until Matt got back and overturned that decision.

 

When I saw that name I thought maybe he was the one who it looked like was getting the job, also didn't a lot of the players supposedly want him to get the job at the time.

We’ll never know for sure, but it looks like there were mixed reviews on Yelk at the time (from the players).

We were middle of the road (5-6, 6-5) during his two years with Coach P in 2006-07.  Huge benefits for a coach at Army.  Take a look at their coach list.  Christ, they have an army of support staff including 5 dedicated strength and conditioning coaches just for the football team.   Kids are generally quality character coming in and cutting classes not an issue for them.  lol

Getting more done with less resources better be a strong trait for our new coach.  Maybe Myers Hendrickson, current HC at Kansas Wesleyan, his former HCing job, would come back and join him?

Another name I thought of, a former WIU assistant, Jason Eck. He's now the OC at South Dakota St. i wonder if he would have any interest
