Back in the old days (1973/74) the front corners of the Pizza Hut were glass.  I remember sitting with my future wife on a date, eating pizza and watching the snow fall.  Very very romantic!

Well, could have been!  I was just thinking, I spent alot of time in their plus in Currens, Waggoner, Western Hall, repeat!  I have a degree in Biology Education with a minor in General Science and PE(Emphasis Coaching).  Not a big bar hopper but went uptown once in awhile with my fraternity brothers and such.  Met my wife in Macomb!  Currens, Waggoner, Western Hall, repeat.  Loved my four years on campus.  Nothing beats fall in Macomb.

I remember that time period well. I don't think the Pizza Hut even existed on East Jackson back then. I remember the one on the west end, Aurelio's, Pag's, Italian Villa, and Happy Joes. I don't think Godfathers had come to town then, either - I believe that building was Mr. Steak back in the day.

I know there would be some headaches involved like licenses, sanitation certifications, etc. but I just wonder if inviting a local Mom and Pop restaurant to sell a couple of their signature menu items at the concession stand for home BB games would work. Or even just give out samples for a tip or donation.  Or maybe allow chains like Jimmy Johns, in too?  Don't need a food court but just decent options instead of the usual popcorn and hot dogs.

A small spaghetti bucket sounds pretty good to me.

I'm going to guess that Sodexo wouldn't let them do that.

So the baseball players can only serve us up stuff Sodexo is OK with.  What a system.  I have seen much better arrangments at the high school level.

Lot of politics, I know.  Same thing about decent student broadcasters.  If you put competent people in place for your money sports, then you probably lose the student broadcasters for others sports.  Same thing here.  The Freaking AD has to know how to navigate the political landscape to put the best product on display for the money maker sports.
