Interesting Off Season

He's going to Western Carolina. They went 6-5 last season in the SoCon, and are under 3 1/2 hours from his hometown of Covington, GA.

OL Carter Morrow is looking to transfer:

Wants to play closer to home.  Looking at D2 schools.

I saw we offered a QB that is transferring from Buffalo and an OL that is transferring from Minnesota

 

I figured he wouldn't transfer to WIU, but the Buffalo QB, Casey Case, we offered has committed to Stony Brook.

Post from a couple of days ago at AnyGivenSaturday:

The Portal Window is closing (with a few playoff extensions still out there)...

917 FCS kids entered the portal (Roughly 7.5 per team)

103 transferred to FBS schools (10.9%)

39 Transferred to P5 programs (4.25%)

100 transferred to other FCS schools (10.9%)

714 currently not on a D1 roster. (78.2%)

I'm sure a few more will find their way on to a D1 roster as the offseason progresses, and some will drop to d2 or d3, naia or juco to get more playing time, but the sad reality is more than half of the kids that entered the portal will not play football next season...and most of those have played their last snap.

Have we got any transfers and I mean anybody from a FBS or FCS program. I think I saw we have someone from Valpo transferring in & i think I might have seen one more maybe but just curious as many as are in the portal you would think they would have more commitments.
