If we could just have a new stadium or at least plans for one the pool would be so much bigger

Because he wants to be a Head Coach. What better place to get your start than Western Illinois? I am sharing this info to prove to you guys that we have an enormous amount of interest in our head coaching position from all levels.leatherneckcountry wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2023 12:28 am This just looks like a list someone Threw together why would an NFL coach leave for here
I spoke with Coach Tony Sorrentino for almost an hour last night. He was working late game planning for Monday nights game with the Bears!
My number was given to him by one of his former players at NIU and Leatherneck player Clint Ratkovich. Clint is pushing for him to be strongly considered! Tony has an impressive resume and just looking at his reference list he would NOT be a bad choice as our next HC!
Let’s be positive during this search and not forget…we still have a special brand called Leatherneck Football that people want to be part of. The pool of candidates from what I’m hearing is full of experience! We can overcome this and we will!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks 57 it’s just been hard to stay positive after the last couple of hiring but I think Paul is a better AD and we’ll hopefully make a better hire no matter what direction we goLeatherneck57 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 23, 2023 8:13 amBecause he wants to be a Head Coach. I thought Chris Duerr made a good point changing conference could bring better candidates winning in the ovc is obtainable instead of fighting the dakotas

There’s a lot of former NIU players coming forward to promote Coach Sorrentino. He sounds like a good option.

That’s great to hear! This type of hire will be hard to pull off but those are very encouraging messages. I know when WIU hired Hendrickson you were one of the biggest supporters and continued that support through much of this season. How would you say this Coach is different than Myers Hendrickson? I think Western Illinois needs a coach very different than the previous one to succeed.
