Exactly...he was HC for 5 seasons. None of them had a winning record and he never finished above 4th place in the OVC and never got anywhere close to even sniffing the playoff bubble. If we're looking at guys with that general "resume", I'd want someone who was at least somewhat successful at the FCS level before moving up to the FBS level. Someone who has mostly winning seasons (beyond maybe the first year or two), has some playoff appearances, etc. If they don't find that level of success at the FBS level, that's ok, because they've at least proven that they do have some part of what it takes to do well at the FCS level. Kreczmer played at WIU with Coach Hendrickson, I heard they were roommates as well. Hendrickson was familiar with his playing style and coaching style. I’m hearing in the next 2-3 weeks. It will be an expedited process. I’m sure initial interviews will begin this week, campus visits the following week and then an announcement.
Coach Kreczmer is doing a great job running our program as the interim HC.
