I know these projections do not mean anything to most people......but when is the last time WIU has ever been projected to win? At anything?

This is what happens when you transfer to an inferior conference. It will be tough to win a NCAA tournament game now because we probably will never be better than a 15 seed due to strength of schedule. If your goal is to make the NCAA tournament and get embarrassed, good choice. If you actually want to win an NCAA Tournament game, changing conferences may be the worst decision ever. I laughed when the projections came out and had WIU at the bottom. The OVC conference is a joke.

If you put us in the summit this year I think we would have a shot the summit isn’t much either

Getting in the tourney only helps a basketball program. It is the main goal of any team in the country. Especially low to mid major programs. I see no negative to the conference move for basketball. Football? Different story.

Jesiah West and James Dent Jr led the Western scoring with 14 points each.  Jesiah West had 11 Rebounds.

Drew Cisse had 17 Rebounds.

Braden Lamar had some playing time on Saturday.  He had been under Concussion Protocol.

thank you, I wondered where he had been, wasn't playing after starting..this explains it.
