The big danger in not being a good FT shooting team is that players might become a bit gun shy, not wanting to put themselves on the stripe.  Keep pounding the ball into the paint.  No one in the OVC has depth in quality big men.  A foul on their bigs, even when coupled with a missed FT, is golden.

I would say the biggest threat would be losing the game due to points that could of been had. If we had shot 70% free throw shooting  last night, which seems like a legitimate average as a team, we would have had approximately 5 extra points which is a huge difference in most competitive basketball games. I watched a minimum of 3 air balls on the free throw line last night which cant be happening perhaps 1 every so often, but 3 in 1 game on an uncontested free shot seems shocking to me. Also, for reference if we had shot just over 60% on our free throws we would have won the Tennessee State game.
