6-21 this season and in last in the OVC.

The good news is there is still plenty of time to move up in standings this year.  The bad news is we have to get to top 8 to make the tournament.  But that is still a lot better than having to make the top 4 like it was and still is in the Summit League.

Fair point, but the fact we could never be in the top-4 in the Summit League I still don't understand. Outside of ORU and Omaha, WIU should of been in contention every time.

Morehead State won the weekend series two games to one.

Western Baseball is now 3-9 in the OVC (last place).

The team will be at SIU-Carbondale on Tuesday and then home-again for a weekend series with SiU-Edwardsville.

Looking at the conference stats only, 3 of the 4 starting pitchers are hovering around the 10.0 ERA mark.  We have 3 or 4 sollid sticks but would need quite a few more to overcome that run deficit.

We can't pitch. Those starters and Krantz are the best pitchers on the team. It's rough. Truly, no lead is safe. I'm trying to stay hopeful though. Hoping we can get some more wins through the conference season.
