Arnie Grunert is preparing to head to the NCAA regional in College Station, TX next week.  Wish him the best in that endeavor.

Maybe someone can answer this question. How does Arnie get his pole (or more likely poles) to that meet?  Typical pole length is about 17 feet.

If you take the whole team, they probably fit in the cargo bay of the charter bus or aisle of passenger comparment of charter bus.
Or maybe a long van with rooftop rack?
Make arrangements with airline to deal with oversize athletic cargo?
Ship via UPS or FedEx?
Rely on poles from providers which are close to the venue?
