We are bringing in some much-needed experience, especially what we've lost on the defensive side of the ball. 2 FBS guys with some experience, lots of FCS experience and some studs from the lower levels.
Like this Kaden Sleets dude from Whitewater and might be one of our starting CB's next year.
DL Fludd is intriguing with good size and previous Power 4 offers. Looks like he was originally a class of 2025 and then did a year at STM Prep (where we got Sidney Fugar).
I'm going to put my biggest get on Israel Hiraldo (Izzy in the Student Directory). Not just for his skill set, but potential addition he may come with.....So he's originally Class of 2024, 3-Star with 2023 offers from the likes of Maryland, Illinois and West Virginia. He goes to Pre School and during this time gets offers from JMU, Tulane and G Tech, but ends up at D2 Post. We're getting a 19 or 20 year old that looked really good at the D2 level, so believing he can make and immediate impact.
Here's the addition that he potentially comes with, but not verified by the article, coaches on X, or currently in the directly. Guess his brother is David Rodriquez. Dude got his first offer as a Freshman from UMASS (I'd make a joke about this being the equivalent of kissing your sister, but can't because we only have 2 more wins since 2019). From there in 2022 until 2024 he gets offers from top Power 4 schools (Mich, Georgia, etc.). He reclassified to 2025 and ended up at JUCO Monroe University, with 2 INT's in 6 games.
Found an old article with him saying he and Israel would like to play college ball together. His X (@david4degraff) says DB@WIUFOOTBALL, signage of him committed as of Jan 16 and reposted the Gruden video. We'll see if he actually ends up here and if he makes and immediate impact, but both look like potential steals!!!
