Good first quarter of basketball from both teams.  Hope they cool off a bit though or we could be tested.

This game has the feel like it is going to come down to last possession.  They are very scrappy and making shots.  Not at all playing like the last place team in conference.  Should be interesting to see what adjustments the coaches make at half-time.

Well, tip your hat to the Tigers.  Simply outplayed us in all facets of the game.
Nicastro had a big scoring game with 33 but how many times has one player lit up the stat book and his/her team took a loss?
More often than not IMHO.

Tennessee State won the game 87-77.   That was just their 4th win of the season.

Western was out-scored 28-17 in the 3rd quarter.

Western only played 6 people in this game -- Madison Davis being the only non-starter.

Mia Nacastro led the Western scoring with 33 points.  Madison Davis had 21.  Addi Brownfield had 12.

Tennessee State had 9 three-pointers, while Western had 5.

Loss proves all teams in OVC can beat you.  Tenn St just on fire not our day.  Need to regroup for Eastern.  Allie Meadows is slumping, Madison Davis had great game.  I thought Tenn St looked good.

Still leading the OVC so loss doesnt have an impact there. The issue is if we win the tournament, our seed is going to take a hit because of this bad loss. Likely a 15 seed now 😞

If not much depth, no one can take a game off or even a single quarter off.   Have to be firing on all cylinders, everyone doing the job, even with a big scorer in the mix.
6 or 7 teams can get hot and win the tournament from what I have seen so far.
