Completely agree.sealhall74 wrote: Sat Mar 28, 2026 9:14 amCausing me to become a semi-fan these days. Or maybe it is simply my getting up in years. Whatever, the allure of college sports just ain't what it used to be for me. Same thing happened with pro sports for me years ago when salaries skyrocketed and ticket prices did likewise. Raegan is blessed with talent but I dont think it is at a B1G level. She could make a squad but IMHO will not have the impact she would at a mid-major.rocki wrote: Sat Mar 28, 2026 8:58 amWell, it is what it is. Transfer portal and NIL has ruined college sports - they're semi-pro now as far as I'm concerned.Wiufan87 wrote: Fri Mar 27, 2026 7:05 pm Raegan cant figure out what she wants to do stay, transfer? I guess if she thinks going bigger is better do that. Last time she looked at Ok St and Wisconsin. Wisconsin is a weak team in the Big Ten. Don't like players transferring so easily think it hurts the game. How about one transfer and the 2nd sit out a year.

Makes me wonder if that is why she didn't come back, all the initial reports were she would be back before the regular season ended, so she wanted to make sure she had 2 years left by not coming back to play.vatusay wrote: Sat Mar 28, 2026 12:04 pm Not surprised at all. She was gone when she got hurt, in my opinion.
That is my theory. And not risk another injury/NIL money. Get it while you can. NIL Adds a whole new level to college and youth sports. It’s no longer “your kid is not going pro” when a parent takes their child’s sports so seriously. They no longer need them to make big leagues to get paid. Going to see youth sports get to a even more crazy/competitive level really soon.meganeck wrote: Sat Mar 28, 2026 1:07 pmMakes me wonder if that is why she didn't come back, all the initial reports were she would be back before the regular season ended, so she wanted to make sure she had 2 years left by not coming back to play.vatusay wrote: Sat Mar 28, 2026 12:04 pm Not surprised at all. It is a shame that this is starting to happen, I know its not new to college hoops now but hitting wiu now.
It stinks she could build a legacy and get to the tourney, win conference championships at wiu, but not lets go play at bottom some P4. Says a lot about a person.

I see it in billiards as well. We have a couple of 16/17 year old girls playing very competitively on the world stage now. They have multiple big name sponsors. They are home-schooled so they can fine tune their craft on their own schedule. For all intents and purposes, they are the primary wage earners in the family. Or at least it appears that way. I will see them in person down in St Louis at the Predator Pro Billiards Series tournament in St. Louis next weekend.
Embrace the pace of the race.

I believe she is graduating early so she could be looking at a grad school for whatever she is majoring in. I talked to coach gravina during one of the mens games and i'm pretty sure thats what he told me.

I would think athletes graduating in 3 years is very much doable when they are usually on campus during the summers for preseason workouts anyhow.

Kinda not surprised about Iowa State, they have had I think 9 players hit the portal, so they will have a lot of spots to fillBball wrote:Thu Jan 01, 1970 6:42 am Heard she already has interest from Wisconsin and Iowa State. Interesting side note: Looks like all of Lindenwood's main core players have entered portal. Maybe J.D. can snag a couple of them ?
