Anyone else not loving the play calls and decisions here?
I'm a Davis fan, but hating this offense right now.
2026 Week 5 - WIU vs Tennessee State
Nice to see them come back and win, but thought they would have an easier time than what they did, but will take the win.
BJ was talking on the last drive if WIU should take a knee at the 1 yd instead of scoring and leaving them time. I thought did you see what happened last week when we had a goal line situation, you score and take your chances on defense.
Its funny reading peoples comments on McGills passing, I was listening to the post game show and BJ and Dr Tom were just talking about how McGill is better passer than he is given credit for. They were basically raving about his passing.

Offensively we have no problem moving the ball until we get to the 30 and then we struggle to finish drives. We also seem to struggle running outside of McGill running. We had almost 500 yds yet only 20 offensive points. We've done pretty good job with run defense outside of the Wisconsin and ISU game.

We were down 21-10 got frustrated and quit watching. Gotta give us credit was surprised we came back and won was expecting a loss. Tenn St played us tough they played Florida A&M tough who we played in playoffs years ago. May have found help at WR with Freshman Xavier Coleman. He played for State Championship last Fall thought he could come in and help us and he is doing that. Defense playing run well. All in all nice win.

Kruger saves the day on the pick 6. We haven't jumped a route for a pick six in a long time and that was very needed.
McGill is such a beast on the ground. Still think there's going to be some matchups and situations we should be giving Carswell a shot. Anaya has one of our best deep ball throws this year.....too bad it was called back.
Good win and great battle, happy for the boys and coaches.

One would think that a defense forced to pay extra attention to the opposing QB would open up opportunities for the WRs and RBs. I have not seen that materialize YET but the season is young, conference-wise anyway.
Embrace the pace of the race.
