I don't really know. Maybe Biller just decided he wanted to be the one to get up there and do the talking....hard to say.meganeck wrote:Scott,
any idea why Biller is doing this PC and not Tanney. Is Tanney even there?
Who do you want to see as a new HC?

Kind of sad actually. I think a good AD probably carries around with him at all times a short list of candidates for all sports and tries to meet up with them even on short notice if that is the best that can be done. Maybe that is where Matt was.

Yes, that right there.Necks2003 wrote:Nielsen can have South Dakota. I never liked that stupid tie on the sidelines anyways. I hope he enjoys long cold miserable winters and boring summers and I hope he takes his special teams coach with him as well.

I think it will be Blazek also, he is young, energetic and most importantly would probably come cheap. Plus I don't think he has any real connection with Nielson. Unless they don't want to lose Crutchley and they name him the head coach, cause I'm sure he will follow Nielson.

After pretty regular tweeter all fall, Tanney tweets stopped on Dec 5. He might have gotten word of this real early last week and been a very busy guy last 9 days.

I think it's odd we have heard nothing from the Interim AD during this whole fiasco. Do we still have one?
That could be. If he was out meeting/negotiating, he might not have been available for today's thing.sealhall74 wrote:Kind of sad actually. Not even a remote chance of this happening. I am an alum of NWMSU in Maryville Missouri. My sister in law is still a teacher there. Went to the semi final game there this past Saturday. Facility is gorgeous. 6 luxury boxes. Press box with multiple levels. Home and away bleachers packed with rabid Bearcat fans, not just parents but many people from area who realize that paying $100 to go to a pro game and $30 to park is not a good economic choice. NW has a huge following. Adam Dorrell has it to good to go to a broken and dysfunctional state, a university that is in huge financial trouble with an AD that is Interim and facilities that are down right embarrassing. Not a huge Nielson fan myself but anyone in their right mind wouldn't come to a sinking ship. I love some of the staff left behind and wish them the best and I think there is outstanding talent but anyone who takes this job will probably have the same mind set as Nielson, get in and get out quickly.
