Theft of less than $500 is a Class A misdemeanor, "petty theft".
If I'm reading it correctly, resisting an officer (as long as nobody was harmed) is also a Class A misdemeanor.

So, it sounds like neither was a felony....idk.

Still got nothing on the HC front....a few more people tweeting about the rumor of Yelk being named HC, but nothing official as of yet.

If you're not prepared to make a big announcement then don't announce that one will be made. This makes the whole school look bad.

Sorry, but considering who said they'd be back today at 11am is the same guy who tried to oust the Western Courier editor because of putting Western in bad light because of a posted video of the fight that broke out after a Black Student Association dance, I can't really be surprised at less than wise moves.

Hearing things kinda didn't go as planned this morning...hence the cancellation of the press conference. Will be interesting to actually find out what's going on at some point.

Probably shouldn't have said that it's likely though...might have been better to just say that they're working on things and expect an announcement within the next few days and just left it at that. That way they could either announce the new HC or announce a national search depending on how negotiations went.
