You can take Jeff Hecklinski off the list. He is the new TE and special teams coach at Illinois.

I have no idea if Frisman Jackson would have any interest, but I'd sure place a call.

Former Leatherneck player and coach is also applying. His offenses can flat out put points on the board and his a great coach! Kids play hard for him!

Bill O'Boyle has completed three seasons on the staff at Southern Illinois. He was promoted to offensive coordinator for the 2014 season and assistant head coach for the 2015 season. He served as the offensive line coach in his first season, 2013.
In O'Boyle's three seasons at SIU, the Salukis have improved scoring offense and passing offense in each season. In 2014, the Salukis set a program record for touchdown passes and scored the most points in a single season since 2009. After O'Boyle was promoted to assistant head coach in 2015, the program averaged nearly 500 yards total offense per game, second-best in program history. SIU set a program record with 298 passing yards per game in2015.
In O'Boyle's three seasons overseeing the offensive line, SIU allowed the fewest sacks in the league despite dropping back to pass more than anyone else in the league. SIU led the conference in fewest sacks allowed in both 2013 and 2015 while ranking second in 2014.
Prior to joining the Salukis, he was the offensive coordinator at Colorado Mesa University in 2012.
From 2005-11, O'Boyle was the head coach at Chadron State, where he compiled a 54-22 overall record, including three-consecutive undefeated regular seasons and three Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference titles from 2006-08. His .750 winning percentage was the third-highest for active coaches in Division II entering the 2011 season.
Under O'Boyle's guidance the Eagles won 28-straight RMAC games and earned three NCAA Division II playoff berths, advancing to the quarterfinals in 2006 and 2007 and to the second round in 2008.

As head coach at Chadron State, Bill O'Boyle was named the Liberty Mutual Division II Coach of the Year in 2007.

________________________________________
A three-time RMAC Coach of the Year, O'Boyle was named the Liberty Mutual Division II Coach of the Year in 2007. Twice, he was named American Football Coaches Association Region 5 Coach of the Year, and he was also the 2006 Sportexe Division II Coach of the Year and Football Gazette National Coach of the Year.
He coached 13 All-Americans and nine Academic All-Americans during his tenure at Chadron State. Included on his list his former players are San Diego Chargers running back Danny Woodhead and Cleveland Browns offensive lineman Garret Gilkey.
O'Boyle started as a graduate assistant and then assistant coach at Chadron State in the late 1980s. From 1990-1994 he spent four years at Western Illinois, his alma mater, as the offensive line coach and strength coach. He returned to Chadron State, and prior to his head coaching duties, he was the Eagles' offensive line coach and strength coach. In 1999, he became the Eagles' offensive coordinator.
O'Boyle has strong ties to both SIU and the Missouri Valley Football Conference. His uncle, Tom O'Boyle, was the Salukis' defensive coordinator under Dick Towers from 1968-73. Two brothers, Mike O'Boyle and Dennis O'Boyle, lettered in football at SIU in the early 1970s. Two more brothers, Kevin O'Boyle and Tim O'Boyle, played football at Southern. Bill played and coached football for MVFC school Western Illinois. Bill has one daughter, Cassie.

Sounds like a great coach. SIU had a phenomenal offense this year. If they had even a mediocre defense, they would have probably been a playoff team.

Love the ties to Western, of course, and he knows the current state of the conference well too.
EDIT - and he knows the financial situation of the public universities in Illinois...so it's not like that'll be a big shock or anything either...he's aware of what he'd be getting into here.

Another plus with hiring Bill O'Boyle is that he would bring anther Leatherneck GREAT to his staff...Todd Auer. I talked with both of them at the ISU playoff game and they would love the opportunity to come back to Macomb and they would be here a long time!

CARBONDALE -- Todd Auer is about the only person on the planet that can call Bill O'Boyle "Twitchy" and get away with it.
O'Boyle earned the nickname because he can't sit still while fishing. A more than 30-year friendship will get you those kind of perks.
Auer, SIU's new inside linebackers coach this year, and offensive coordinator/offensive line coach O'Boyle go back to their playing days at Western Illinois in the early 1980s.
O'Boyle was an offensive lineman for the Leathernecks until he broke his neck during a game in 1983 against Eastern Illinois. Auer, a state wrestling champ at Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau High School in Galesville, Wisconsin, started at fullback but also played linebacker, defensive tackle, defensive end and on special teams.
Auer added backup guard to his resume after O'Boyle's injury and played there the last three games before finding his way back to the defensive side.
"He was kind of a hybrid rusher," O'Boyle said. "He was kind of like an undersized D-lineman, but they used him more as a rush. They kind of moved him around. Very good player."
O'Boyle became a student-coach for the Leathernecks after his injury. Auer went on to set the all-time school record for career sacks with 28, which still stands today. He was named a first team All-American by Football Gazette, Kodak and the American Football Coaches Association as a senior in 1986. He still ranks in the top 10 all-time at the school in tackles for loss (ninth, 36) and solo tackles (10th, 162).
Auer was the last linebacker to be cut by the Green Bay Packers in 1987, but played in three games during the strike. He spent the next two years going in and out of NFL camps.

He began his coaching career as a grad assistant at Western Illinois in 1989, when O'Boyle was an assistant coach at Division II Chadron State in Nebraska.
Instead of serving a second year as a grad assistant, Auer went to Chadron State in 1990 to be the Eagles' offensive line coach when O'Boyle went back to Macomb to be an assistant. He later served as the strength and conditioning coach/travel coordinator.
O'Boyle returned to Chadron State in 1994, when Auer was the team's defensive coordinator, and the two helped the Eagles win 28 straight conference games and earn three playoff berths.
"I thought I'd only be there a couple of years, and I ended up being there 21 years," Auer said. "I was the O-line coach for four years and then coach O'Boyle came back in 1994 because his wife was from there, and he wanted to get back. Our D-coordinator left and I went over there to be the D-coordinator after '94."
Auer, 49, and O'Boyle, 50, have been together almost ever since.
