I figured I would start a thread so we can start discussing the team for the upcoming year. We have our coach and a good core of players. Thoughts? Anyone that may have a breakout year? Defense, offense questions?

Obviously Lenoir and Norvell will run this offense.

Here is the roster for the year

Offensively i think mcshane will put up some big #'s defensively watch out for mick nelson i think he will be key up front to guys in position where lost a lot from last yr who i think we'll be key this season also watch out for isaiah lesure he had a huge spring game last yr and could be a really nice #3 receiver.

I am a little skeptical of next years run game. I do not see near the production that we had this year or year before. Seems like it will be a down year on that front.

Last year we were worried about the back 7 on defense and things worked out fine. Nelson , Saunders, Olson, Swenson, Charles, and Veloz will be just fine.

I'm looking for a big year from Norvell. The guy has big time talent and now has a coach that knows how to handle the position. The receivers also bring a lot of experience.

I'm actually looking for more receivers to be put into play. Lance is great, but we saw (especially with McGuire) that there are way more potential targets to "spread the wealth" around. I think with those possibilities opened up, we will be much more dangerous offensively.

Don't forget we've got Joey Borsellino back as WR. Also I'm depending how his legal issues work out Lenoir will be suspended for a game or two?

Hoping for a little more passing to tight ends this year. I think last year, you could probably count on one hand how many times we threw them the ball.

Just for the hell of it, I looked at roster and stats. Then answer is ................. 2. That is the most embarassing statistic in year 2015.

The Bison threw to TE 21 times. Yes, a couple more games played, but they planted the seed and gave the defense something to think about.
Give them credit. They have an Offensive Quality Control coach to worry about those kind of things.

Tightend probably depends on if he is more of a blocking or catching TE. It is difficult at our level to get one who does both well. Most likely he was a better blocker than receiver so they rarely used plays designed for him to catch.

Yes, but we saw how effective Stacy Smith, Jr and Jaelon Acklin can be as well. If we can keep defenses guessing, it will help both Borsellino and Lenoir be more effective, I think.
