Big hit to Nielson's new team, Andrew Van Ginkel is transferring to Iowa Western (a JUCO school). Sounds like he wants to spend a year at a decent JUCO school and transfer up to a P5 FBS for his last 2 years. It's one route from FCS to FBS without having to sit out a "transfer year".

When USD played us, Van Ginkel had 4 solo tackles (5 total), 1 tackle for loss (of 3 yards), and 2 QB hurries. He had the potential to be one of the top defensive players in the conference for the next 3 years.

Transferred to IW so he doesn't have to sit out a year then will transfer WIU that's what i see.

That'd be nice, but no. He'll be going FBS, likely Big 12 or Big 10, would be my guess.
