I'd say that's fair. We've had struggles on the O-line against the Dakotas in recent years and I don't see that changing with the young guys coming in. 4-5 wins would be respectable and something to build on. Though it will be a disappointment for, in my opinion, one of the best QBs in FCS. Wish he had a more talented and experienced line for his Sr. year. We'll see, I look forward to Coach Elliot and the guys putting in the work to exceed expectations.

What is the "AP" position under special teams? The only thing I can think of is "Athletic Player".

Looks like it stands for "All-Purpose Back". The guy who won that spot at the end of last year was listed as a RB at Western Carolina, but was also a kick return specialist.

South Dakota St got a boost today as Iowa football player Brandon Snyder, a former starter at safety, announced he will grad transfer to South Dakota St. He is coming off a couple of knee surgeries but should make an immediate impact.

I asked this question last year and was told that AP means "Advanced Playmaker". But I'm not sure what that actually entails in football.

I think that Advanced Playmaker is more of a soccer term.

712 does a great job of keeping on top of things, and sharing with the rest of us.

Last season is gone forever, I hate the committee for sending a battle tested road weary team on the road again to Weber. Part of me thinks that the committee got a lot of grief for letting us in in '15 and giving us a cushie first round Dayton. My father in-law has officiated and under duress (OK intoxication he admitted make up calls happen).

Weber was our bull**** make up call. Never mind that, Western earned the '15 inclusion in the playoffs.

Ok, new season. I haven't the slightest idea what will happen. I know with Western's tradition, grit, and players on the roster we will at least have to be 5-6. I would love to say that Western will be 7-4 or 8-3. I guess I just loath homer posts. I also kinda get pissed that Western gets dissed.

Montana State can't arrive soon enough for this guy.
