Looks like Coaches are moving away from them.  Understandable with the transfer chaos going on.  Reality is if a player is not on the 2-deep when he gets to Junior year, he will probably be looking for an out.

After browsing around some previews for games this week, the only 2-deep I could find is the Bison.  They have a culture going on there.  You dont deviate from what works.

I am leaning toward going, only a couple hour drive for me.  Related question.  Is this an overnight stay for the team?  I dont know what the policy is.  If a game is within reasonable bus trip distance (like maybe ISU R?), I assume you save the bucks for the hotel and just show up a little early, get stretched out, have a pre-game meal, and do the best you can. Google says 2 Hrs, 48 minutes from Macomb to Dekalb.

Also related, if I win a big enough lottery, I am going to donate some to build a new facility on campus or refurbish an existing dorm to become a hotel and restaurant management training ground, a place good enough to host a visiting football team and then some. Seriously.  ;)

I'll be there. Sorry I haven't posted anything, but I've been on vacation in Michigan this week. Heading back down on Saturday, stopping outside of the Chicago suburbs to pick up my sister, brother-in-law, and his sister (we're all WIU alumni) and go to the game before finishing the drive home after the game.

Houston, we have a depth chart.  Maybe the unique defense someone was asking about refers to the BLB, STAR, and WHIP positions.  I have not clue what they are.  When I was playing ball 50 years back, we had a Monster position, sort of a roving linebacker if you will.  He would adjust according to the offensive formation and call out "Monster Left" or "Monster Right" to let eveyone else know what to do.

Update: I think my wife is coming along.  She loves to wear the purple garb from the bookstore.  Got lucky and married a gal whose favorite color was purple.  ;)

The team left at 1:00 PM today via Burlington Trailways busses.
