My guess on the thinking there was that pushing them back 5 yards would have given them a better angle on the FG attempt.
Thankfully it didn't end up making a difference, but it was an odd choice.

Talent on offense and play calling to go with it was light years ahead of last couple of years.  Still need to get more consistent ground game though.
Embrace the pace of the race.

College of the Sequoias is a 2 year college but his bio on our site says he spent 3 years there.  If that 3 is a mistake and should be 2, he may have another year of eligibiity left because of COVID.  Who knows?  Would love to have him back.

He spent 2019 at Fresno, so out of eligibility.  Dude made very good decisions and his ability to avoid the rush and make plays was great.  Amazing year!!!

I haven't seen enough on Irvin to know his full game decision making or to regularly avoid the rush, but his arm talent looks a little better than Lamb.  If we somehow hold onto all 5 of our top receivers, most our line and Cam Smith, the next guy up should be able to succeed.

Finally got to watch a game today.   We have a great great offense.   Defense did enough today.   I really like the offensive side of the ball and the coaching.  We just have to get some more talent on the defensive side of the ball.

Welp, I don't love eating crow, but it should taste a lot better with this win and going out on a high note! :P

Congratulations 'Necks. Picked last, finished 6th and ahead of Eastern!    I'll take it :D

Definitely outperformed preseason expectations for many people. I know going into this season I said that I'd be happy with 3-4 wins. We ended on the high end of that, and we were still competitive in many of our losses.
We finished ahead of Eastern, but my "goal" for what I want to see next year is 6-7 wins, and especially beating Eastern and hopefully Lindenwood.

was following on the ESPN app & when I finally got the video to work this was the first play I saw.  Awesome.  What a game. If WIU played like that all year they'd be champs.  All in all very positive season.
