Does anyone know who Coach was talking about, in his post game interview Thursday. He said Incarnate Word has a player that he really wanted, said he recruited him harder that he has any other player and he said we lost out on him due to $$ (NIL)


 

Apparently the player is Davion Bailey, he played at Southeastern Community College and was at Ball State last year. He's avg 15.8 ppg so far this year.

One of our bigs is going to have to grow up even bigger as this season progresses.


 

Whats the deal with Payne, I was expecting him to have a big season, is he still not totally healthy.

On the post game interview, Coach B said he thought before the season that South Alabama would be the 2nd toughest team they played in the preseason behind UNI.

I saw that, nice chuck of change for coming down to play in their tournament. Coach mentioned they got paid to come down on his post game interview, didn't say the amount, but also mentioned they also get treated to a meal from Outback Steakhouse.

Watching South Alabama retreat after missing a shot reminded me of the Coach Mo days.  Absolute zero interest in getting an offensive rebound.  They  currently rank 285/355 in that category.  The only stat ranked lower than that is their 3 pt perecentage defense (315/355).  
Its still early, but stats telll a lot about the nature of a team and how to exploit it.
