Just checked the FCS Coaches poll and looks like they did not give us any respect either as we did not even receive one vote for top 25 from them. Love being an underdog because it feels that much better when you win, but come on this is a good team that has played an incredible schedule if you would reverse our schedule we would of been ranked because our record would be much better at this point. I think a .500 team in the MVFC could beat approximately 95% of all the other FCS schools without any luck needed. The league is going to have to start standing up for itself or find a way to get more schools in or do something drastic like a split into east and west in order to get 5 or 6 teams into the playoffs since they deserve it!

Will this one only be available through "Rocky Vision"? Kind of enjoying watching games that I can't attend, instead of just listening.

It is currently listed on the ESPN3/WatchESPN website. MVFC games listed as of now are:
South Dakota vs. Missouri State (2 PM Central)
Indiana State vs. North Dakota State (2:30 PM Central)
Illinois State vs. Western Illinois (3 PM Central)
Southern Illinois vs. Youngstown State (3 PM Central)

Which works out to (like last weekend) 4 out of the 5 MVFC being played are being shown on ESPN3.

The only game not listed as currently being shown is South Dakota State at Northern Iowa (4 PM Central).

This game may be available via First Row Sports. They list their games about 24 hours in advance. So check at this website on Friday night or Saturday to see if it listed.

Just FYI, firstrow sports technically isn't a "legal" source of sports feeds. I'm not saying don't use them if you need to...I do when what I want to watch is unavailable to me elsewhere...but if you have access to ESPN3, on an Apple TV, Roku, or just on your computer, I'd highly suggest doing that, for a few reasons:
1. If you have access to it, it's completely legal
2. Less crazy ads and potential for getting hit with some malware
3. (and actually, for me, the most important reason)...the more we utilize the legitimate sources of content for watching FCS and MVFC sports...the more likely we are to be able to do so in the future. Think of it like a TV show. It's not a huge deal if it's a small percentage of people pirate the tv show, but if the majority of people do, then the networks aren't getting the viewership that they'd like and may cancel the show. Same deal here, if nobody watches on ESPN3, then they don't have any motivation to continue to carry them. Improved viewership of FCS games leads to the playoff games getting higher "billing" (ESPN3->ESPN2->ESPN) and other games being shown more prominently (like the season opening Sam Houston State at Eastern Washington game that was shown on the main ESPN channel).

As I said, I'm not against firstrowsports being used, since I use them myself when I can't get a game by legal means...but if you do have access to ESPN3, I strongly suggest you try that first. And even if you don't have the ESPN channel on your tv package, you may still have access to ESPN3 because of your ISP (I know Comcast has an agreement to allow streaming ESPN3 even if you don't subscribe to a package with ESPN), so you might want to double check that.

I completely agree with ST as I had a virus the first time I tried to use that First Sports to watch a game. It is way better to watch on ESPN when possible to promote the MVFC. If a home game is not on ESPN it will be broadcasted in HD on the www.goleatherneck.com site as a pay per view option. This is definitely worth what you pay as it is good video feed. The ESPN3 site I believe is available to almost anyone who has cable or satellite you just have to create an account online through your provider such as mine is Comcast.

Agreed 100% WIU0812. .500 in the Valley = 95% win rate OOC. Good luck Saturday, Leathernecks.

The other nice thing about using ESPN3 (if you can), is if you have it up on your computer, you can go picture-in-picture for 2 games or up to 4-game split screen.
That's how I was watching three MVFC games at the same time last Saturday before the Leathernecks kicked off (on the ESPN app, in HD, on my 40" flat screen, through my Roku box...was awesome).

I posted this in an earlier thread, but...

Southern Illinois @ North Dakota State, Illinois State @ Indiana State, and Northern Iowa at South Dakota....all at the same time.

I thought that it was strange that the Athletics' write-up (preview) about the game did not mention ESPN3.

So I checked the ESPN3 website, and our game has disappeared from the list.

Well that sucks. I'd check back on Saturday though, just to be sure. I've noticed that the games listed earlier in the week are pretty never exactly the same as what they end up being on Saturday. Could be that they're still working out details, or maybe it's just not going to work out this time.
