Well that's good to know on the dinged up Wieneke, but yeah 80% is still a threat. I'd go man, press his side with a safety shadow on all passing situations. Let someone else beat us.

While we're at it, keep up the blitzing like last week on passing downs. Bring 5-6 and mix in the occasional DT middle drop. Take advantage of our shorter athletics bigs to drop in the middle and be hidden by the larger OL. Break up those quick hitters over the middle where the QB reads a vacated area by the LB's. Could mix in the same with the front side DE to fill the slant lane and be there for the RB dump-off and/or screen.

Where have those blitzes been this year? I only remember seeing them used alot in the USD and that ISUb game. Never really got to the QBs in either but very effective none-the-less.

The northern part of the State (north of I-80) could get 4-8 inches of snow on Friday. Macomb could get 1-3 inches of snow on Friday.

Macomb's weather for Saturday is calling for the snow showers to end in the morning. Then a sunny afternoon is expected. It will be cold at 34.

Winds will be NNW at 26 mph.

It's not going to be fun to be sitting in the stands, but I think I like our chances the windier it is predicted to be. SDSU is obviously good all around, but their strength is the passing game, whereas ours right now leans more towards the running game.

18 - 20 yard punts could be the norm for both teams when heading north. Mixing in a few short passes and ability to run consistently is a good recipe for Saturday.

We'll be keeping warm in Section B. A little pre thanksgiving Wild Turkey should do the trick.

I have a 5k in Richmond tomorrow. Tried to get a ticket to Bill&Mary@Richmond game but no luck so I will be hurrying home to watch this one on ESPN3. Hot Chocolate w/ Bailey's Irish Cream is on the menu.

Our coaches and players need to treat this one not like a game which might give us a slim chance to get in playoffs but instead, one for all the marbles. Preparation for what lies beyond. For the seniors, that will be life after football. For the others, a solid foundation for next year.

Old habits are hard to break, but I will go out on a limb here:

WIU 27
SDSU 21

SDSU is having a hard time getting "on the road". According to the SDSU message board, snow coming down pretty solidly. 4" reported at the airport as of ~11 AM today, 8"-9" in southern Sioux Falls. Some other flights have already been canceled or delayed: http://www.sfairport.com/

Matt Zimmer (https://twitter.com/argusmattz) is a local sportswriter who's traveling with the team.

I assume USF is the University of Sioux Falls (they're flying out of SF airport).
