Really don't think it is the time or place for a Quarterback controversy. The Necks are on a two game winning streak and have qualified for the playoffs for the 10th time. Lets concentrate on Dayton! I am proud of the Necks not only for what they have accomplished record wise, but who they are as young men. I can garuntee that Coach Nielsen and staff have something to do with that. I am not sure what was going on with Trenton but he sure took some tough hits against ISU. That could have had something to do with his inflammed appendix. Sean has answered the call and he will be the "horse" the Necks ride in the playoffs! ;) jc

Just to be clear I am not advocating Sean over Trent as he is a great player and young man too. Recall eating breakfast with his family the Friday morning after EIU win. They were at the diner by themselves because Trenton was in class. Either way it's a great problem to have.

Agreed, and we can only hope the coaching staff sees it this way, too.

There is to much value having a qb who can run in college football to not play McGuire if they are close in skill level.

I agree with NeckFan. This is not the time to be worried about the future QB. I watch every game, even better now that they are on ESPN3, and looking at the stats of the last 2 teams we beat in overtime, our opponents did not play that great. And now we are already speculating on the starting QB for next season? We need to worry about Dayton, I bet South Carolina wasn't worried about Citadel last week, and the nation saw how that worked out for them. Dayton is a threat because they stand in our way, and they have nothing to lose; they win and its awesome they move on, they lose and oh well Western is in a better conference we tried. Those kinds of teams scare me.

That same scenario is why we should scare ISU, bc then we are the team with nothing to lose. Go NECKS!!
