Depends on the ranking system you're looking at. As of right now, here's what Sagarin has for Illinois Schools:
73. Northwestern
76. Illinois
141. Depaul
148. Illinois State
150. Western Illinois
151. Loyola Chicago
179. Northern Illinois
198. Southern Illinois
263. Bradley
282. UIC
293. SIU-Edwardsville
307. Eastern Illinois
341. Chicago State

I'll take that at this point....5th out of 13. Did I leave anyone out?
looking at these rankings i have to wounder if sargarin is CREDIBLE AT ALL.i totally disagree.illionois, depaul and ill. st have all been bad,if not terrible.

Real time RPI is another barometer of a programs success (or lack of).

RPI of 108 as I type. 243 D-I programs ranked behind WIU.

When was the last time Western was close to being under 100 in RPI?

The problem with realtimeRPI at this point is that the data that it uses for it's numbers are very limited. Teams that start off hot are way up at the top, but will likely drop down quite a bit once the conference portion of the season starts. If you look at the top 10 right now:
Colorado State, South Dakota State, Davidson, Louisville, CSU Bakersfield, Chattanooga, Valparaiso, Oregon, Weber State, Iowa State

How many of those will still be anywhere near the top 10 even halfway through the season?....Louisville, Oregon, Iowa State...that's probably about it. SDSU and Valpo are really good for Mid-major programs, but I don't think anyone would consider either of them legitimate top 25 contenders.

Men won 79-44 over Trinity Christian. They're now 5-0 for the first time since the '86-'87 season.

One thing I wanted to look at was playing time for players that are not usual starters:
Covington, Fuller, and Sandifer all ended up with about what they usually do, around 30 minutes. Batish had 24 minutes, while his average up to this point is 10.5 minutes (he ended with 9 points, 3-6 on FGs, 3-6 on 3pts, 2 steals). Gilbeck finished with 19 minutes (average of 13.3 minutes). Miklusak finished with 18 minutes (had averaged 9.7 prior to today) and had 6 points. In general, it looks like they tried to get some of the other players a bit more experience, which is good.

I did not see all 40 minutes, listened to some of it. Looks like Billy has an "8 is Enough" strategy trying out different combinations of the "other 3" during these easy games. Not a bad idea. However, if you are going to start Gilbeck every time out, we need a handful of well-designed and rehearsed plays to get him involved in the offense. Just a handful not a bushel.
Embrace the pace of the race.

Garret Covington had 24 points. J.C. Fuller had 19 points.

#11 Delo Bruster was the only player who did not play. Don't know if he was injured or ???

The attendance was 815 which was larger than I was expecting considering the unusual starting time of 2PM.
