Be nice if instead of welcoming the guys back to Macomb after game, the Macomb mayor actually proclaimed Macomb to be "Ghost Town For a Day" so everyone could caravan over to Normal and cheer from Section 121 of Hancock Stadium. Or would that be too "politically incorrect"?

Friday and Saturday only, all city and campus bus routes include a stop at the corner of West Locust and Main in Normalsealhall74 wrote:Be nice if instead of welcoming the guys back to Macomb after game, the Macomb mayor actually proclaimed Macomb to be "Ghost Town For a Day" so everyone could caravan over to Normal and cheer from Section 121 of Hancock Stadium. Also, from what I've heard, the band is planning on going to the game on Saturday as well. Not the full band (there's a big school of music event going on that day), so they won't be marching, but they'll be there to trade off playing songs with ISU's band and hit us with the fight song a few times.

Glad to hear the band is coming. Are they bringing some cowbells for the rest of us to play? Might have to sneak a few in inside a tuba or something though. NCAA is cracking down on arty noisemakers during the the playoffs. Just ask McNeese State.

Is everybody healthy? We need to be at the top of our game to have any chance at all.
Sounds like a beautiful day for football - looks like the forecast now is for 50 degrees and partly sunny.
"Ghost Town for a Day" sounds like a good idea (particularly if it meant everything would close down so I didn't have to work and could go to the game.
). Who cares if it's politically correct or not - I am sick to death of PC idiocy.

Ran around the football stadium this evening...lights were on and the team was out practicing.

It's playoff football and we've not been there in a while.
Around the campus, does seem there is more of a smile.
The Redbirds are foe this week and we should fear not.
Our Leathernecks are feeling good coming to town hot.
Will Nikko's Knockers keep the ball moving to pay dirt?
Will Brett's Bangers be in position to inflict some hurt?
Will Lance get another TD pass? Seems to have a knack.
Which quarterback will Coach Bob trust to lead the pack?
These questions and more will be answered on Saturday.
May we walk away with a win and another week to play.
With winter and finals looming we can take it in stride.
Hop on the Leatherneck bandwagon and enjoy the ride.

John Riggins had the "Hogs" up front. Nikko needs his "Knockers".rocki wrote:Nikko's Knockers????????????
