Has Coach Fisher mentioned to anyone what his redshirt policy is?

Yes...he said if a kid can make an immediate impact he will play (or if injury occurs) otherwise most will be redshirted to develop their speed, strength and game so by the time they're in their 3rd, 4th and 5th years they will be at their peak!sealhall74 wrote:Has Coach Fisher mentioned to anyone what his redshirt policy is?

Ok, put together the list as best we know it at this point, available to view here:
The first three on the list were ones that had committed earlier and have either re-confirmed their commitment (in the case of Andrews and Sanft), or have not committed elsewhere yet (Dante Cleveland). The rest on the list are all ones that have committed in the last week or so (some just this morning).
This list also does not include athletes that we don't know about yet. For example, Coach Howle's tweet ( mentions an O-lineman from the 330 area code (Akron, Canton, Youngstown area in eastern Ohio), but we haven't seen any tweets from anyone in that area saying they have committed yet. So unless they tweet about their commitment, we'll likely have a few (good) surprises on Wednesday.
Also, the last few days have seen quite a few commitments, so it's possible I may have missed someone. Let me know if there's someone that we know of that isn't on the list.

How many scholarships did we have available. Seems I heard a number initially like 16-18. I had the opportunity to meet Coach Fisher on Wednesday and he said straight up, "we are going to play some smash mouth football!" He also said, " there will be times when we play a little "basketball" by spreading the field, but most of the time the run will set up the pass!" He mentioned that by the end of the 3rd quarter at ISU, the Redbirds did not want to get hit anymore and the result was the blow out we all got to witness! I like this class already! I like this staff and head coach already!
