Yes, Manual manhandled the Tigers with their quickness and athleticism. Could have won by 20+ if they kept the pressure on all game.meganeck wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 11:29 amI thought this also, they need to bring in a guard, hopefully a transfer and a junior college player that can help right away.sealhall74 wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 10:35 am We have a good nucleus coming back if they all do. Ball handling skills really need addressed over the off-season. Way too many TOs, especially when defense pressured the ball. Sort of like what happened last night in Sherrard when Manual was all over Sherrard with double teams full court.

Hopefully with reed being back next year things will be more stable losing her before conference was a big lossmeganeck wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 11:29 amI thought this also, they need to bring in a guard, hopefully a transfer and a junior college player that can help right away.sealhall74 wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 10:35 am We have a good nucleus coming back if they all do. Of that group I would say Davis or McCowan are the most likely to leave usually the longer a player is somewhere the less likely they are to leave. Davis could leave because she was only a freshman but she played a decent amount and don’t see that happening. McCowan will get a ton of offers. I don’t see Nicastro going anywhere after her comments the other day.https://x.com/InsiderWIU/status/1897484733505749247ST_Lawson wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 10:13 amIt looks like we lose (to graduation/end of eligibility):leatherneckcountry wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 9:44 am If we can keep Raegan this team has a chance to very good next year.
Kennedy Flanagan - 7.4 minutes per game, 1.3 points per game, 1.4 rebounds per game
Mallory McDermott - 26.3 minutes per game, 8.7 points per game, 1.7 rebounds per game
Jasmine Nichols - 5.8 minutes per game, 1.4 points per game, 1.8 rebounds per game
Of our big scorers, Reagan McCowan is a Sophomore, Mia Nicastro is a Junior, Addi Brownfield is a Junior, Allie Meadows is a Junior, Madison Davis is a Freshman, and Kaylen Reed is a Sophomore. Those are all the players who averaged more than 15 minutes per game.
McDermott is the only 30+ game starter who we know will be gone next year.
If we are somehow able to keep McCowan, Nicastro, Brownfield, Meadows, Davis, and Reed next year (unlikely we'll keep them all because of the current state of the transfer portal, but we can hope) that should be a pretty good team. Nicastro, Brownfield, and Meadows will all be experienced Seniors, although the year after that might be a bit rough unless some of our younger players and incoming transfers really step up.
With the transfer portal we’ve been pretty as far as players leaving
Heard it was a SRO only crowd, was rooting for Sherrard but figured it would be a tall task to winsealhall74 wrote: Sat Mar 08, 2025 11:44 amYes, Manual manhandled the Tigers with their quickness and athleticism.
