There is a weekly MVFC teleconference with all of the coaches I guess on Tuesdays. Not sure if any one can ring in or just the media guys. Below is a link:

There is a weekly thing for the Summit League as well:

ST, maybe we need put links to this recurring stuff in some easily accessible spot on the front page.

Coach Nielson joins me on K100/100.1FM every Monday morning (Labor Day was excluded) either just before or after the 7am news depending on when he arrives. To save him time, I record that interview, which typically runs 6-8 minutes, for our morning shows on 102.7FM & 104.7FM, and they can play it anywhere from 7:30-8:30am, depending on other morning guests & contests/promotions we have going on. The interview will be heard w/in a 30-50 mile radius of Macomb.
Coach Nielson also speaks at the Quarterback Club lunch every Monday. In the past, I've taken an audio recording device to the lunch, and recorded the WIU coaches comments. The audio occasionally makes it seem like he's a ways, away... and any back round noise is usually easily picked up. But, I can try to get some sound from that as well.
Now, that hard part... adding audio to a forum or website. That may be where ST-Lawson comes into play, haha... sorry Scott.

I am beginning to feel some sympathy for Coach N. He has too many places to be and too many mikes to speak in to. We need one and only one "show" somewhere near campus so students can participate.wiu712 wrote:What happened to the Buffalo Wild Wings show with Coach Nielson ????
Did that go away when Beau Spencer moved to Madison ?????

That was basically what they Buffalo Wild Wings show was since it was a location that students liked and would gather and is in Macomb which requires little traveling.sealhall74 wrote:I am beginning to feel some sympathy for Coach N. I talked to Beau about it up in Madison, as I recall after a beer or two, he mentioned there were some days where attendance was not all that good. I could not walk from campus to BWW in less than a half hour. Could take the campus shuttle I guess. Why not "christen" the "new" student union? Make all the old fogie/arm chair QBs in Macomb come to campus for a change.

I like that idea. They've got a beautiful new "Lamoine Room" with windows that look out towards the football field (alternately, could do it in the Prairie Lounge...again, with nice views of the football field). Either should have plenty of room for students and other fans to sit and listen and be easy for students (and Coach N) to get to. Only thing I can think of is that maybe they went with BWW because they were a sponsor.sealhall74 wrote:I talked to Beau about it up in Madison, as I recall after a beer or two, he mentioned there were some days where attendance was not all that good. Really though, for me...that's the easy part. If I can get a hold of the file, I can get it online and embedded on the forum.KippJones wrote:Now, that hard part... adding audio to a forum or website. That may be where ST-Lawson comes into play, haha... sorry Scott.
