ST, you either fell asleep under a bright light or over-medicated.
I had a HS English teacher who once gave me a ride home from school. Pretty sure it was in a Rambler (AMC) but not 100% sure, could have been a Chrysler something. I know it had a pushbutton transmission shifter. Damned amazing what comes back to you after a morning DVD Yoga session with Rodney Yee followed by a core workout with Tanja Djelovic, 10 minutes of Lumosity for the brain, and a bowl of stone-ground oatmeal.
Regardless, Billy is going to have to push all the right buttons tonight if we are to have a chance in this one.

How serious is Ancrum's injury and how did it happen? I like him because he can play 1-3 and I think he has some serious potential but like most of our kids, just needs to fill out at the chest and shoulder level.

Pretty good effort against Ramblers but fall 72-67. I would like to see us mix in some pure zone (1 -2 -2 ) to protect our big guys and confuse the opposition a bit. We got beat in some one on situations around the bucket late in the game that really hurt. Covington kept us in it in second half with a herculean effort from beyond arc. Play like that in conference and we will win some games.

Although a majority of the game lacked a sense of urgency, the last 10 minutes was one of the few strong efforts to close out a game I have seen in a while. Not sure if resting the guards made the difference, or the team finally just woke up, but it was finally nice watching how the team is able to play once again. Garrington is a beast when he gets going.
Well, I was 1 point off on what our score would be....underestimated their score by 10 though. Down by quite a bit near the end, Western went on a 10-2 run and got within 3 at one point, but it was just too little too late.
Kinda a disappointing weekend, having two losses...both of which we could have won.
Well, time for them to get a bit of a break, rest up, spend time with their families, and get in some good practices. Next game isn't until January 1st, 11 days away...kicking off the conference season at Omaha. From here on out, the games really count (if we want a good seed in the conference tournament).

wiu played as good as you can ,and loose.loyola did get some calls but it didnt figure in game at all in my opinion.loyola plays 4 guards and i felt wiu could have went inside more, especially in first half.loyola was all over our 3 guards and were not allowing them 3 point shots and actually were leaving inside open but wiu didnt take advantage though loyola did block 2 shots plus we missed a couple easy shots too but that cant stop wiu from going inside.thats why wiu doesnt draw fouls.im thinking fuller going to 6th man and mike needs more time because team runs smoother with him in there.i also think wiu coaches are going to question why chapman didnt play more because i thought he played well.in the end loyola had a 6 7 sr who made some clutch baskets on shots that were not easy.wiu big red head had probably his best game.tate continues to rebound now lets get him ball down low a little more.LAST AND NOT LEAST,WIU WAS GETTING 7 POINTS AND ONLY LOSS BY 5.--LOL
