WIU and ILSU will continue the series for at least 1 more year: https://fbschedules.com/illinois-state- ... s-in-2024/
I've heard that it was '24 and '25, but the article just mentions '24 and I haven't seen anything else publicly confirming '25 yet.
Probably at their place, sometime in September.

Looks like the series with EKU has probably been cancelled or rescheduled because we're playing at Illinois State on September 14th, 2024: https://fbschedules.com/illinois-state- ... -schedule/
That was originally the date that we were scheduled to play at EKU. They were also scheduled to play in Macomb on 9/13/2025 as well. I have not heard anything regarding the status of that.

Not sure yet. They usually mention it in the FBSchedules.com article (https://fbschedules.com/indiana-adds-we ... -schedule/) but didn't this time.pvk7072 wrote: Thu Nov 02, 2023 6:35 pm Terrific! What's the payday? WIU needs one of these every season to get some $ like everybody else out there.
We also have a game against Northern Illinois scheduled a week before, so we'll open the season against two FBS teams. We're getting $350k from NIU, but P5 teams (or is it P4 or P3 now?) usually pay a bit more. In 2026 we're getting $575k from Wisconsin; 2027 is Oklahoma State with a $425k guarantee; and we take on Purdue in 2028 for a check for $450k. Also, when we played Minnesota in 2022 we got $450k.
So, my guess is somewhere in the range of $450k for the Indiana game next year.
Next year is a 12-game season, so we'll have 8 OVC/Big Sky games, and four OOC games. We currently have on the schedule games at NIU, Indiana, and a game at Illinois State. Hopefully they can figure out a home game for the last one, otherwise it'll be October before we get a home game (at Homecoming). Honestly, at this point, I say bring in a nearby D2 school so we have a nice local crowd, don't spend a ton of money, and might actually win a game. It's not like we're going to be competing for a playoff spot in the short-term. Maybe Quincy, Truman State, or Missouri S&T (many of us are quite familiar with their HC: https://minerathletics.com/sports/footb ... -ball/1825)
The last time we played 2 FBS teams in one year was in 2014 (also a 12-game season) when we played two Big 10 teams (Wisconsin and Northwestern) and also hosted two Pioneer league teams (Valpo and Drake) before the conference portion of the season started up.
The UT Martin game got rescheduled for later in the season.leatherneckcountry wrote: Thu Nov 02, 2023 7:26 pm Interesting that was supposed to be UT Martin I had just assumed that would be a conference game

I think the departure of Robert Morris from the Big South has thrown a little bit of a wrench into things. Either they have to re-shuffle the conference schedule a little bit, or the teams that were scheduled to play RMU next year will have to find someone to fill that spot.jtrinaldi wrote: Sun Dec 17, 2023 8:58 am I saw that the EIU game in Macomb has been posted on Twitter for October 12. Anyone know when the new conference schedule will be released ?
