We've added a home game in 2026 against Morehead State: https://fbschedules.com/western-illinoi ... -schedule/
That's a nice matchup because:
  1. It's against another FCS team
  2. It's a school we're familiar with, since they play all their other sports in the OVC with us.
  3. Unless we still absolutely suck, we should have a decent chance of a win, since they play football in the Pioneer League and are non-scholarship.
So, it's like a matchup with Valpo, Drake, or Butler, except we actually play them in all our other sports too.

Payout at Indiana is $450,000. Hopefully we can add another buy game for next year to minimize the damage of paying Hendrickson for the next two years

Couple of quick updates to the schedule. EKU has released their 2025 schedule and we are no longer on it.
Currently we're listed for a game at U of Illinois (went 9-3 this year) on 8/30 and at Eastern Washington (4-8 this year) on 9/20.
It looks like 2025 should also be a 12-game season, since there are 13 weekends from 8/30 to the Saturday before Thanksgiving (11/22). So, one bye week, 12 games.

Hopefully we can get another buy game with a low level D1 team and then a game vs an fcs team at home. Assuming we should have the schedule soon?

Hopefully that will open a date for ISU to come here

Unlikely. ISU has already released their 2025 schedule and we're not on it. They have games already scheduled during our open weekends.

We have Northwestern next year too. That game is the week after the Illinois game.

Payout for both games is 1 million dollars I hear.

That's great to hear. I haven't seen it posted anywhere yet.

As long as I don't have anything going on, I should be able to go to both of them.

I thought I had heard rumors Northwestern backed out of the game and was just planning to pay whatever the buyout was. That said, I am glad to see the game is going to happen. Their temporary stadium is actually really nice and right off Lake Michigan and on campus.
