This Seating Map shows the band located in the most southern seating section on the east side -- even with the goal line.

The band had been located at approx the 20 yard line in the OVC era.

Ah, I see what you mean. The question is, is this what the seating chart showed the last few years, even though the band was in a little bit, or is this even further out than they were?
Like, maybe the seating chart always showed it that way (since we joined the OVC) and the band just went ahead and put themselves around the 20 yard line.

I guess we'll see at the first game. I'll be sitting pretty close to them since this is my daughter's first year as a member of the Marching Leathernecks.

That's a big get.  Him and Pierce were very solid last season especially late in the year.  My coworkers and I listened to WGEM broadcast live from practice this AM was very cool to hear.  QB Carswell and OL Durand talked about a Find 19 theme which I guess was the total points they lost by in close games last year.  Davis was on as well but no questions asked about who starting QB will be.

No surprise on the last bit, Carswell is the best returning QB we've had since Sampson

Good breakdown of the team and schedule: https://www.highlights.mainmarket.com/c ... urce=share

Projects the most likely result to be 5-7, with 4-8 also being a strong possibility. On the schedule with win chances though, they don't have our first game listed and gives us chances based off a "neutral default" team...which might just be the FCS average, so it says 24%. Massey actually says we have a 92% chance of winning that one and projects a 5-7 season for us.

5-7 would be a slight step up from last year...6-6 is about our "ceiling" based on projections, although I think 7-5 is quite possible if we slightly outperform projections. The link I posted lists us with 40% chance or greater against Morehead State, North Alabama, Tennessee State, UT Martin, Eastern Illinois, and Gardner-Webb. Plus the previously-mentioned first game, and that's 7 wins.

Really though, the only "for sure" losses in my mind are Wisconsin and FCS #4 Illinois State.

According to PrairieState Pigskin, Carswell will start the season opener, but Kennedy McGill will also play.
