Sealhall, I am assuming that Schlafke is the play caller. I am by no means a football guru but the playbook seemed VERY simplified in the first 2 games. Again, watching Norvell it appears he has NO other options than the first option on any play. He looks directly at the receiver. There are no second let alone 3rd options. Any quality defense in almost any division of college football will pick this up very quickly. I also understand what a supreme talent Lenoir is and it should be a priority to get him the ball but that can ONLY happen by acclimating other pieces into the offense. Last year the TE was at least a part of the offense early. The TE has been completely ignored as of now. Having small receivers would indicate that a larger target whether that be #15 or other bigger targets could be employed. This all being said I have complete faith that the coaching staff is doing what they feel best. As a fan only I am just going to trust that they will figure it out and hope that it gets better. The idea that the early schedule and wanting to hold back for later is of course a possibility but I would hope not. Any team that hopes to make a serious jump in # of wins needs to start off well and build on success, not fear failure. That is a sure way to losing the season.
