If this is true, he shouldn't be interim AD for long. He must not consider the head football leaving under his watch a reflection of his leadership in directing the athletic department. In addition, he must not believe finding a qualified replacement is important enough as part of his professional responsibilities to be directly involved and working during this time.

Interim AD picks interim HC from internal list over internet? Interesting. ;)

It is possible the Administration has known that Bob wanted out longer than we have and a search began earlier or they were just as stunned as we were by the news. I suspect the former is more likely given the budget and facilities situation at Western.

South Dakota has "poached" a sitting coach from conference member. In coaching circles and amongst conference members, this is highly unethical. You do not see this occur in power 5 conferences, FBS or other FCS conferences. I wonder how this is "playing" at the conference commissioner's office and with other conference members. They cannot be happy with South Dakota.

When we play at South Dakota next season I hope we "kick their ass" and run up points...

I agree with you, Bob. Something was in the works before news broke. Not only should we kick their ass next year but we need to charter a busload to Vermillion. I would be on it for sure.

Yea....next year, what I want to see....Western back in the playoffs and we absolutely destroy South Dakota at their place. I don't care who else we beat to make it to the playoffs...but I want to beat them. Norvell/McGuire to Lenoir/Borsellino/etc. for like 500 passing yards (473 would also be acceptable...that'd break Sam Clemons's record from 2001).
