Incredible games in Valley today. All five road team win. Never happened before.

North Dakota State beat Youngstown State 27-24. Attendance at Youngstown was 11,309.
South Dakota State beat South Dakota 30-23. Attendance at South Dakota was 10,345.
Illinois State beat Southern Illinois 42-21. Attendance at Southern Illinois was 6,388.
Northern Iowa beat Missouri State 41-0. Attendance at Missouri State was 5,223.

'Necks played with a lot of heart and resolve today after getting down. Coming away with nothing on the two drives to end and start the halves could have killed us mentally but they fought thru it.

Lets get a few things straight before we speculate on some issues that make no sense.
1. We are not making playoffs, If for some crazy reason they go 5 deep in MVFC it will be Youngstown not US
2. Indiana State right now is a BAD football Team
3. They scored 30 points using their 4th string running back, how many would we have scored with Nikko?
4. Back-up QB did a nice Job.
5. Nikko was magnificent, only one game left and not a recruit of this coaching staff
6. Special Teams again were unacceptable, Missed FG's, Blocked Pat, Bad Punts
7. No coaching staff should keep position after 3 years of not making playoffs, coaching reality. Need to win games
8. Beat South Dakota State and I will admit program is looking better for future.

Re #1, you might be right. But after watching Bo on sideline and in presser yesterday, I think that any committee members who are "on the fence" will be leaning our way. Lovethenecks, I don't share your opinion that Indiana State is a bad team.
712, I know it might not work this way, but, our 'Necks should be ahead of UNI in standings. Honestly, their win vs. MSU should be removed from the books, or at the very least to be fair add a freebie W to Western's record. Also we beat UNI head to head at their place.

UNI has a winning tradition, some big wins in the past and HUGE FAN BASE. We are last in Home attendance in Conference!!!

First Four Out: Eastern Washington, Towson, Southern Utah, Western Carolina
With Bryant losing to Sacred Heart, next Saturday’s St. Francis, Pa. at Duquesne winner-take-all contest will decide the NEC regular-season title as well as the conference’s automatic berth in the FCS playoffs. In the Patriot League, Colgate stopped Lehigh four times in the final minute to earn a 49-42 victory that gives the Raiders that league’s auto bid.
The ultra-competitive MVFC playoff picture cleared with Youngstown State losing to North Dakota State. That means the league will likely just get four bids: Illinois State, South Dakota State, North Dakota State and Northern Iowa. Everyone else in the league has at least five losses and are out of the picture.
Youngstown’s loss helped The Citadel, which lost to Chattanooga, but is still a playoff at-large possibility. Meanwhile, Eastern Illinois helped its cause with a 23-21 victory over Tennessee-Martin that likely eliminated it from playoff consideration. That means next week’s contest between Eastern Kentucky and Eastern Illinois could decide an at-large berth for the OVC.
The Big Sky is as jumbled as ever with Montana walloping Eastern Washington. That win keeps the Grizzlies’ hopes alive while Portland State held on against Southern Utah for a huge victory.
The CAA is up in the air as far as the playoff teams go and the number. William & Mary and JMU likely punched their tickets with victories, but Richmond fell to Villanova and that was a big loss. Towson’s loss to the Tribe hurt, while New Hampshire beat Albany Saturday night. William & Mary meets Richmond next week while Villanova and JMU tangle. Both games are huge as the possibility exists that there could be a three-way tie for first place after next weekend.
