If I read his vitals correctly, vertical and broadjump are better than average NFL combine numbers for DE Line position.

Probably somewhat less accurately measured than at the combine, I would imagine. Still pretty impressive.

Is there anyone on this board familiar enough with the recruiting process who could answer a question or two for me:

About how much time (hours, days, etc.) would you say a coaching staff invests in a recruit before the decision is made to throw an offer at him?

Is it common to offer without ever making actual direct person-to-person (handshake required) contact?
