Not a soccer fan but sad to see how fast the program went down.

Just wanted to give leatherneck fans on how men's soccer is structured in the OVC in the fall of 2024. There will be 8 teams with each school playing 10 conference games. There will be two "unofficial divisions" in the conference. Lindenwood, SIU-Edwardsville, Eastern Illinois and Southern Indiana will be in "one division" and Western Illinois, Incarnate Word, Liberty and Houston Christian will be in the other "division". Each "division" schools will play the each other on a home and home schedule  and then play the other "division" schools only once. If the OVC tournament structure is the same as last year the the top 6 schools make the tournament with the #1 seed hosting the tournament. The first round of the tournament will be #3 vs. #6 and #4 vs. #5 with the #1 and #2 seed getting a first round bye.

I realize we are the new kid on the block in the OVC and should be thankful for what we get, but this divisional setup has zero advantages for the Leathernecks when it comes to travel and/or rivialries.  Would have been better to draw schools out of a balll cap IMHO.  Or is that how we got here?

Embrace the pace of the race.

Last year in the "division" set up the OVC schools were in one "division" and the non OVC schools Houston, Incarnate Word, Liberty and Chicago State were in the other "division". Western Illinois replaced Chicago State in the "division" system.
